Medicine Shortage Communications (MSC)
These letters (MSC - Medicine Shortage Communication), provide information about medicine shortages of certain medicinal products that are not linked to quality, safety or efficacy issues and contain measures that the marketing authorisation holder has developed together with the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the competent national authorities (the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care in Austria) and sent to the relevant expert groups (i.e. medical specialists, wholesalers) to minimise the impact of the shortage. For information of the status of the medicine shortage please refer to the “Shortages index”.
Please note that the letters in the ‘Medicine Shortage Communication (MSC)’ section reflect the status of the information at the time of publication. There will be no subsequent changes to these letters.
