Information on the prescription status is available via

• Austrian Medicinal Product Index (all medicinal products regardless of the authorisation date) and
• BASG-Announcement (recently authorised medicinal products)

If the final classification of the prescription status, which has been published (Rezeptpflichtgesetz) by the competent Federal Minister on the basis of the recommendation of the Prescription Commission, differs from the previous provisional classification, the database of the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care (Pharos) will be amended accordingly.

Changes to the prescription status will be actively communicated to the marketing authorisation holder by the Institute Marketing Authorisation of Medicinal Products and Life Cycle Management.
