Which websites must be reported to the BASG?
ALL websites that serve the purpose of distance selling of human and veterinary medicinal specialities must be reported. In this sense, websites of third parties must also be reported if the product portfolio of the dispensing organisation can be accessed on the website of the external service provider.
The BASG must be notified immediately of any changes to the internet addresses of websites that have already been registered.
Examples of changes: Change of domain, additional websites, deletion of websites.
Is it sufficient to report the start page of the drop-off point / service provider?
No. Clicking on the registered link must guarantee direct access to the online shop.
Example: The link www.apothekeXY.com leads to the homepage of the pharmacy, whereas clicking on the URL www.apothekeXY.com/webshop leads directly to the actual webshop. When using external service providers, the detailed domain must be specified (www.lieferdienstXY.at/shop/ApothekeXY).
What contact details must be displayed on the website in connection with distance selling?
In order for customers to be able to contact the dispensary, a telephone number, an e-mail address, the address of the pharmacy/dispensary and the times at which customers can contact the seller directly must be provided.
In addition, the address and other contact details of the BASG must be provided.

How must the security logo be technically implemented in the web shop?
Once you have registered, you will receive a letter from the BASG. The registration confirmation contains several links via which the logo is made available. The logo may not be stored on the systems of the issuing organisation, but must be implemented via the link provided by the BASG.
Does the safety logo have to be linked to the BASG homepage?
Yes, the BASG maintains public lists of all authorised distribution points. The link serves as verification for the consumer that it is a legal webshop. You will receive the individual link with the specific identifier of the webshop with your registration confirmation. This link leads directly to the detailed entry of the dispensary in the public list.
What information must be provided on the human and veterinary specialities offered?
The information required for proper use must be provided in a brief and clear form. In particular, the area of application, application and dosage instructions and the composition. Contraindications and any interactions must also be indicated.
