National Vaccination Committee recommends extended dosage intervals for mRNA vaccines

EMA advises against ivermectin use for prevention or treatment of COVID-19 outside randomised clinical trials

The Austrian Federal Office for Safety in Health Care (BASG) informs that the temporarily put on hold batch ABV 5300 of AstraZeneca's COVID 19 vaccine has been released again and can be vaccinated.

An update on the Covid-19 convalescent plasma guidance has been provided to the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care by the European Commission.

Currently, there is no evidence of a causal relationship with vaccination.

There are indications that the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine "Comirnaty" is being offered as counterfeit on the internet and directly by telephone.

On 29. January 2021, "COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca" was authorised in the European Union as the third vaccine against SARS-CoV2.

On 06. January 2021, "COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna" was authorised in the European Union as the second vaccine against SARS-CoV2.

Based on the recommendation by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the European Commission issued the marketing authorisation for the COVID-19 vaccine Comirnaty (BioNTech).
