The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that 7 human WNV infections have been recorded in Hungary during the current season. Affected regions are: Pest, Heves and Csongrád.
It is therefore requested that appropriate attention be paid in the anamnesis interviews and donor selections. This letter corresponds to the current information status of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
