West Nile Virus (WNV) - Greece

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that three human WNV infections have been recorded in Greece.

It is therefore requested that appropriate attention be paid to this in the medical history discussions and donor selections.

This letter corresponds to the current state of information of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
