The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that in Greece, in the current season, a total of 39 human WNV infections have been recorded.
Affected regions are: Thessaloniki, Larisa, Kilkis, Imathia, Chalkidiki and Pella.
Therefore, appropriate attention is requested in the medical history interviews and donor selections. This letter corresponds to the current state of information of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
