100. EMA Managementboard-Meeting
On the occasion of the 100th meeting of the EMA Management Board, it was not only a matter of efficiently dealing with an extensive agenda, but also of bringing together all former Management Board Chairs and EMA Directors in view of this anniversary.
Chaired by DI Dr. Christa Wirthumer-Hoche, important topics were discussed, such as the agreement on the launch of the EMA at its new headquarters in the Netherlands/Amsterdam, as well as the progress in the allocation of existing centralized marketing authorizations to new (co-)rapporteurs of the EU-27. Already 370 centrally authorized human and veterinary medicines have been successfully reallocated.
In general, the work of the EMA in 2017 was retrospectively assessed as very positive and the contribution of the EMA to public health in the EU, and thus ultimately to patients, was highlighted as an essential factor. Report on the occasion of the 100th meeting of the EMA Management Board:
