West Nile Virus (WNV) - Hungary New

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the ECDC (European Center for Disease
Prevention and Control) that human WNV infections have been recorded in Hungary, in the regions of Budapest and Hajdú-Bihar.
We therefore ask you to take this into account when taking medical histories and selecting donors.
This letter corresponds to the current information status of the BASG. Further information will be provided as soon as it is available.
