The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that in Spain, in the current season, 3 human WNV infections have already been recorded. Affected regions are: Tarragona and Cadiz. We therefore ask you to pay attention to this in your medical history discussions and donor selections.
This letter corresponds to the current state of information of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
