The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that in Croatia, in the current season, 6 human WNV infections have already been recorded. Affected regions are: Vukovarsko-srijemska županija, Osjecko-baranjska županija and Grad Zagreb. Therefore, it is requested to pay attention to this in the medical history interviews and donor selections.
This letter corresponds to the current state of information of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
