West Nile Virus (WNV) - France New

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care (BASG) has been informed by the French authorities that a human WNV infection has been recorded in France, in the Var department of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region.
We therefore ask you to take this into account in your anamnesis interviews and donor selections.
This letter corresponds to the current information status of the BASG. Further information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
