The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been notified by the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that 28 additional human WNV infections and three deaths have been recorded in Serbia. New affected regions are: Severno Banatski, Podunavski and Pomoravski.Appropriate attention in medical history discussions and donor selections is therefore requested.
This letter corresponds to the current state of information of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
