The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that a total of 12 human WNV infections have been recorded in Greece during the current season. Affected regions are: Thessaloniki and Larisa.
Therefore, it is requested to pay attention to this in the anamnesis interviews and donor selections.This letter corresponds to the current information status of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
