The BASG warns against the product ‘Katinko Ointment’, which was taken at an Austrian food retailer.
The Austrian Official Medicines Control Laboratory (OMCL) analysed the sample. The analysis revealed that the sample contained the declared substances methyl salicylate, menthol and camphor. The product ‘Katinko Ointment’ is therefore to be classified as an illegal medicinal product.
Importing these illegal medicinal products from abroad is a punishable offence.
