Federal Minister Stöger opens site
On this occasion, the minister reminded the audience that many countries in Europe are cutting back on health care, and sometimes health care facilities are being dismantled. "It is different in Austria: the federal government has clearly stated that we want to further develop the healthcare system. Therefore, I am particularly pleased that we are making an important investment to further improve the domestic healthcare system with the new location of AGES Medizinmarktaufsicht." In his ceremonial address, the minister thanked AGES and in particular the employees of the business unit of AGES Medizinmarktaufsicht, formerly AGES PharmMed, for their professional work and for the expertise on which the Ministry of Health could always rely and which was also appreciated in an international context. "In order to be able to continue to fulfill the important tasks of the Medical Market Authority, better framework conditions have now been created with the new location," Stöger said.
The minister wished all employees of AGES Medical Market Surveillance a good cooperation in the new building.
The head of the AGES Medical Market Surveillance business unit, Marcus Müllner, also expressed his thanks above all for the good cooperation during the move to the new building: "All the activities associated with this conversion and move would not have been possible if many people had not shown tolerance, staying power and good will," said Müllner, who in this context also emphasized the importance of the AGES Medical Market Surveillance and the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care. the Federal Agency for Safety in Health Care (BASG): "From here in Traisengasse, we contribute daily to ensuring that public health in Austria, but also throughout Europe, maintains the high standard of quality that it has."
In his welcoming remarks, AGES Managing Director Heinz Frühauf thanked Minister Stöger for making the financing of the site possible. After the ceremonial speeches, a red ribbon was ceremoniously cut to mark the opening and the new building was inspected.
